The aim of the week

The aim is not to reread the whole course. The aim is to find the answer habits that keep costing marks and fix them while there is still time.

7-day plan

  • Day 1: Do three short-answer questions from different Biology modules.
  • Day 2: Rewrite only the answers that lost marks.
  • Day 3: Practise one data or stimulus question and force yourself to quote the trend.
  • Day 4: Practise one explain question and one evaluate question.
  • Day 5: Review model answers and list the missing links you keep forgetting.
  • Day 6: Do a mixed mini-set under time pressure.
  • Day 7: Rewrite the weakest answer from the week without looking at the feedback first.

What to track

  • Did you answer the command term?
  • Did you explain the mechanism, not just name it?
  • Did you use the data or stimulus?
  • Did each sentence add a marking point?

FAQ

Quick answers.

Can I improve in a week?

You can improve answer structure in a week if you practise actively: write, mark, find the missing point, and rewrite.

Should I do full papers or short answers?

Both can help, but short answer practice is often the fastest way to fix repeated mark losses before trials.

Are these official trial questions?

No. HSC Science Coach uses original HSC-style practice. HSC Science Coach is an independent study tool. It is not an official HSC or NESA resource and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, verified by, or approved by NESA or any official HSC examination authority.
